甲基乙二醛 (MGO) is the compound chiefly responsible for the antibacterial property of Manuka Honey and forms the basis of the UMF™ grading system.
钩端螺旋体素 is found in the nectar of Manuka flowers and is the most discerning characteristic to distinguish Manuka Honey from other honey types.
二羟基丙酮 is a natural plant compound found in the nectar of Manuka flowers. DHA converts to MGO over time in Manuka Honey as it matures.
